UK Cosmetics Regulation (UKCPR)
Products must be notified via OPSS. A Responsible Person must be named. A Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) by a qualified assessor is mandatory before placing on market.
Ingredient Restrictions
UK cosmetics regulations restrict or prohibit hundreds of ingredients. Chinese manufacturers may formulate to EU or Chinese standards which differ from UK requirements.
UK Labelling Requirements
Labels must show INCI ingredients, UK Responsible Person address, country of origin, batch code, best-before date (under 30 months), and all required warnings in English.
Electronic Beauty Devices (UKCA)
Electronic tools (straighteners, cleansing devices, LED masks) require UKCA marking under the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
